My love for sparkly things began long before Candy ever existed - as a child, sneaking into my mother’s dressing room, trying on her most precious jewels, and listening to the stories behind each piece. Her collection became my first classroom: heirlooms and treasures that carried memory, meaning and magic. Those early encounters taught me that jewellery is never just decoration, it’s a story you wear.

Before Candy, I trained as a lawyer, immersed in a world defined by rigour, structure and high standards. It gave me a sense of quiet authority and a deep respect for my craft, but most of all, an appreciation for the smallest details; qualities that quietly became the backbone of everything I would later create. That grounding in precision now finds its expression in a more visual language, one where beauty and intention are inseparable.

As a South Asian woman, I grew up surrounded by the richness of saris and lehengas - their colour, symbolism and craftsmanship unparalleled, and I often felt that fine jewellery needed to rise to the same level of expression. They’ve shaped the way I see beauty, so I wanted to create pieces that could stand alongside that kind of artistry: exquisite and unapologetically striking. Candy is my way of reimagining that heritage through a futuristic lens, where lab grown diamonds can be playful, rebellious, and kind all at once.
